Three members of Olympian Homes, James Lindridge, Richard Goodwin and Will Sharpey have completed the Mallorca 312 bike challenge.
The challenge is a 312km (194-mile) cycling event that takes place on the island of Mallorca in Spain. It is one of the most popular long-distance cycling events in the world, attracting over 8,000 participants each year.
They trained for months in preparation for the event, and they eventually completed the challenge in just over 10 hours.
Speaking after the event, Will Sharpey said: “It was an incredibly tough challenge, but we’re so proud of what we achieved. We’re really grateful to everyone who donated to our fundraising campaign, and we’re glad that we could raise so much money for such worthwhile causes.”
The team set themselves the challenge of raising £1,500 for Canine Partners, Stroke Association and British Heart Foundation and ended up raising £6,400. Their efforts have helped to raise awareness and to raise money that will go towards funding research as well as providing support to patients and their families. They are an inspiration to us all, and we wish them all the best in their future cycling endeavours.
