Despite the on-going Covid-19 pandemic, Olympian’s project under construction at Weaver Place, Coventry, for an initial phase of 823 beds of purpose built student accommodation has continued to operate following the Government’s strict measures imposed to enable the industry to continue to function.
When these measures were initially implemented, significant supply chain issues followed in the wider market. However, as a result of the robust relationships Olympian and the RG Group have established and cultivated over an extended period with its sub-contractors and consultants, our partners worked very carefully to ensure any impact was mitigated whilst not compromising their or other’s safety and wellbeing despite the high numbers of personnel on site due to the nature of the finishing trades that are currently on site.
Over more recent weeks, as restrictions have been released, an established sequence has been implemented that going forward, that will allow completion of all blocks to an agreed programme, utilising the most recent government advice and stringent H&S procedures, without compromising quality.
Through the ongoing market uncertainty presented by Covid-19, Olympian have worked in close consultation with forward funding partners IQ in a collegiate but commercial manner to mitigate any adverse outfall for all parties.
A start date for phase 2 of 377 beds is due to be released soon.
