Olympian are pleased to announce that the initial phase of Weaver Place, Coventry has achieved Practical Completion (PC).
Phase 1 consists of 823 purpose-built student accommodation beds across a total of 23,228 sqm GIFA. From commencing on site in February 2019 to Practical Completion on 30 October 2020 the build programme took 21 months to complete. Despite the on-going Covid-19 pandemic construction continued to operate whist observing the Government’s strict social distancing and health and safety measures one section of the building was delivered under Partial Possession arrangements in order to meet the start of the academic year. Achieving this and with PC itself only slightly delayed due to Covid-19 and with no detriment to quality this marks a significant accomplishment for all parties involved particularly in view of the adversities and disruption involved.
All parties will shift focus towards delivering the final phase of Weaver Place consisting of a further 377 purpose-built student accommodation beds for the same student operator IQ..
