Manchester City Council has granted planning approval for two residential towers at Portugal Street East following a positive decision by the planning committee on January 16th.
The development will comprise of a 23 and 29 storey towers providing 488 flats with the buildings being connected by a ground floor podium. Located between Piccadilly Station and Great Ancoats Street, the development forms part of the Portugal Street East Strategic Regeneration Framework and will contribute a vital part of the regeneration strategy for the area.
Works on site are expected to begin in Q2 2020.
