Olympian is pleased to announce the successful completion of all substructure and ground floor slab works at our Build to Rent “Glassworks” project in Newcastle. The completion of site clearance; a significant cut and fill exercise; remediation; an extensive archaeological programme of works and then finally the installation of piled foundations and ground floor slab, marks the de-risking point of this major construction element.
The site team overcame significant technical challenges resulting from the site’s close proximity to the Redhugh railway bridge, that provides an arterial route between North and South and the underlying coal seams, commensurate with a site in Newcastle.
We now look forward to the completion of the concrete frame, topping out and fit-out works, which are all progressing at pace in anticipation of the project completing in December 2026.
