Olympian Homes have submitted a planning application for the demolition of the existing Mecca Bingo Hall, replacing it with 280 high quality student bedrooms, landscaping and bicycle parking.
To celebrate the site’s previous heritage, the student accommodation will be called Rialto House after the art deco cinema and venue hall that once stood there.
Work onsite is expected to start from Q2 2022.
