Olympian Supports Adaptive Grand Slam’s Successful Aconcagua Expedition

Olympian Homes are proud to have sponsored the Adaptive Grand Slam team in their successful expedition to climb Mount Aconcagua in Argentina. A previous attempt in 2015 had to be abandoned due to severe weather conditions, however this time there were no such problems and the team reached the summit on 19 January.

The team – consisting of a mixture of former soldiers who have been medically discharged and members of the disabled community – are aiming to be the first physically impaired team to complete the “Grand Slam” of expeditions – the climbing of the highest mountain on every continent, and walking unsupported to both the North and South Poles. Their next challenge will be to conquer Carstenz Pyramid  in Indonesia, which they will attempt in November of this year.
