Olympian are proud to announce that they are sponsoring Lee Spencer – AKA “The Rowing Marine” – in his attempt to complete a solo, unsupported crossing of the Atlantic Ocean.
Having already been a part of the Row2Recovery team which became the first all-amputee team to complete the crossing of an ocean in 2016 and setting a world record in the process, Lee is now targeting the world record for a solo crossing of the Atlantic Ocean when he rows the 3,500 miles from Gibraltar to Venezuela in early 2018, becoming the first physically disabled person to complete a solo crossing from continent to continent in the process.
