Olympian were Highly Commended in the prestigious Concrete Society Awards for the Motel One development at Manchester, Piccadilly. Judges commended the finishes to the scheme as “the outstanding aspect of this structure”, with “consistent colour and shade throughout” and that the quality of the acid-etched facade and smoothness of the internal faces were both “excellent”.
The Scheme, designed by Hodder and Partners Architects, was built predominantly using pre-cast concrete structural and facade units by Russells Construction using units supplied by FP McCann.
