Planning Permission was granted in January 2011 for a mixed use scheme, consisting of 16,200sq ft office space, 5,000 sq ft retail space, a 60 bed Travelodge hotel, 14 residential apartments, and associated car parking.
A further application for planning permission was made in February 2012, and subsequently granted upon appeal in January 2013, for the construction of 5 retail units totalling 6120 sq ft, and 60 units of sheltered acommodation and associated communal areas. This was a condition of the sale of the property to Churchill Retirement Living, who will be responsible for the further development of the scheme, along with the future operation of the completed properties.
The sale was completed in June 2013.
